Drawing on more than four decades of LOOP rod design and fly-casting innovation, the LOOP Ström Switch Rod takes the distinctive heptagonal (7-sided) blank construction first seen in the iconic LOOP 7X and refines it further. Built using the highest-grade, highly refined M40X carbon construction, Ström delivers a switch rod that is lighter, stronger and more responsive, with exceptional recovery and tracking.

Sitting perfectly between single and double handed rods, the Ström Switch is designed for versatility. Whether casting overhead, using traditional Spey techniques or fishing modern Scandi and Skagit-style lines, the rod delivers a smooth, progressive transfer of energy throughout the casting stroke.

The heptagonal blank profile provides excellent stability and tracking, helping the rod recover quickly and efficiently. The result is clean loop formation, accurate presentation and a connected feel that allows the caster to sense the rod loading and unloading throughout the cast.

On the water, its compact length makes the Ström Switch particularly effective where space is restricted, while still providing the line control and casting versatility required for fishing larger rivers. It is equally at home covering salmon and sea trout water, fishing smaller rivers or tackling situations where a full-length double handed rod simply isn't necessary.

Every component has been carefully selected to complement the performance of the blank. A premium Flor-grade cork handle provides comfort and sensitivity, while the custom carbon reel seat reduces unnecessary weight and adds to the rod's refined finish. REC Cerecoil stripping guides provide lightweight, low-friction line management and premium durability.
